This program provides a strong foundation for careers focused on people, health, and community well-being. Through coursework, research, internships, and community projects, students develop critical skills in communication, cultural competency, interdisciplinary problem-solving, data and AI literacy, digital health, and community engagement. Graduates are well prepared for roles in social services, health fields, law, human resources, public policy, education, and more.
There are no prerequisites for this program; however, the strongly recommended courses below deepen discipline knowledge and enhance writing skills in preparation for upper division courses. We encourage students to take as many of these courses as possible prior to completing the AA.
