Teacher Preparatory Program
- Complete Associate in Arts (AA) degree
- Complete all prerequisites with grade of C or higher
- Cumulative Transfer GPA: 2.5 or higher
- Complete the 4 foundation courses below with GPA: 2.5 or higher
- Complete the 4 foundation courses below in two attempts or fewer (drop/withdrawal grades are considered attempts)
  - Foundation Courses: ART 1201C, ART 1203C, ART 2300C, ART 2330C
- Complete Florida Teacher Certification Examinations (FTCE) - General Knowledge Test
  - State-mandated for admission to teacher preparation programs. We strongly encourage students to pass this test prior to transfer. For more information and to register for the General Knowledge Test, visit: FTCE.
  - FTCE is optional for the Career Development Major.

MAC 1105 (College Algebra) is not required for this program. Select MGF or STA courses that satisfy the AA. If MGF or STA courses are included in the table(s) below, select those.

Description of Majors:
- Grades K-12 Major: professional degree program designed to train artists to teach art/art history, aesthetics, and criticism in schools or studio settings.
- Career Development Major: prepares students for professions that depend on an art education background but that do not require teacher certification (e.g., art centers, galleries, non-profit organizations). Graduates have the option of obtaining the Florida Art Teacher Certification by passing the FTCE (see above).
